Review Model

JCODA uses a double-anonymous peer review model in which, where practicable, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

Double-Anonymous Review
  • Authors do not know the identity of reviewers.
  • Reviewers do not know the identity of authors.
  • Review reports are treated as confidential editorial documents.
  • Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors unless the journal explicitly adopts a different policy.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are selected based on their subject expertise, research experience, publication record, methodological competence, and absence of relevant conflicts of interest.

Reviewer Independence

Reviewers must provide objective and constructive evaluations and must not allow personal, institutional, financial, ideological, or professional relationships to influence their assessment.

Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers must decline an invitation when they have a conflict of interest that could compromise the impartiality of their review.

Confidentiality

Reviewers must not disclose, distribute, reproduce, or use unpublished information contained in a manuscript for personal or professional advantage.
