Editorial Ethics

Editors of JCODA are responsible for maintaining the integrity, fairness, confidentiality, and quality of the editorial process.

Editorial decisions should be based primarily on:
  • Scholarly quality
  • Originality
  • Relevance
  • Scientific validity

Editorial Responsibilities

  • Maintain manuscript confidentiality.
  • Ensure fair and impartial editorial decisions.
  • Manage conflicts of interest.
  • Select qualified and appropriate reviewers.
  • Protect the integrity of peer review.
  • Respond appropriately to allegations of misconduct.
  • Maintain accurate publication records.
  • Issue corrections, retractions, or Expressions of Concern when appropriate.
  • Maintain editorial independence.
Editorial Integrity:
Editors must not use unpublished information obtained through the editorial process for personal advantage or allow inappropriate considerations to influence editorial decisions.
